The following weights were printed in the recent (issue #401) 2013 450 shooutout by Australasian Dirt Bike Magazine (including engine oil, 5 liters of gas and air in the forks): KTM 350 SX-F 111.2 kg/245.2 lb. YZ450F 112.1 kg/247.1 lb.

PostedJuly 27, 2007. I say stick with what Kawi suggests, R4 Castrol. I use the synthetic blend, since it seems to lubricate the top end a little better (no ticking noise from valves). The weight you use should be dependent on outside temperature and what type of riding you do. I vary from 5w40 to 15w40 from week to week.

TheS1 oil is much lighter than most other brands, making it much easier to do the inner cartridge on my forks.
